What Fignotate does
Fignotate is a Figma plugin that drafts annotation text for a screen you select. This policy covers the plugin, this website, and the Fignotate service that connects them.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.
- Usage records. For each annotation request we keep the time, the AI model used, token counts, an estimated cost, and whether it succeeded. We use this to enforce your screen allowance, prevent abuse and run the service.
- Billing. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. We receive your subscription status and a customer ID, never your card number.
What you send to generate annotations
When you press Annotate, the plugin sends an image of the selected frame, its name and size, and the description you typed to the Fignotate service. We forward them to our AI providers (currently OpenRouter and Anthropic, and the models they route to) to produce the annotation text. Fignotate does not store the image, your description or the generated text. Our providers process them under their own terms. Do not select frames containing information you are not allowed to share with these providers.
How we use data
To sign you in, provide and secure the service, count usage, process payments, and answer support requests. We do not sell personal data and do not use your designs to train models.
Retention and deletion
Account and usage records are kept while your account exists. Email support to delete your account and its records; payment records may be kept by Polar as the law requires.
Service providers
Cloudflare (hosting and database), Google (sign-in), Polar (payments), OpenRouter and Anthropic (AI processing).
